Port City Java Expands Executive Staff and Franchisee Support

WILMINGTON, N.C.-- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- April 28, 2005 -- Port City Java announces it has made two additions to its Executive Staff. COO Don Reynolds states " given the company's growth over the past 12 months, the company experienced 489% growth in 2004; we are planning for the support of the units coming on line. " By planning early for support needs, the company can stay ahead of the growth curve and help ensure positive execution of the concept in the franchise system.

Franchisee Support

The company expanded its Franchise Department, with the hiring of James Deering as Director of Franchise Development. Mr. Deering is the former President of Garland, TX based Wing Stop. He led the company through high growth and eventually a successful acquisition. Mr. Deering has also held the position of Vice President of Franchise Development with Chester's International. Mr. Deering has a bachelors degree from the University of Massachusetts, Boston and an MBA from the University of N. Florida. He served 5 years as a Trustee for the International Franchise Association (IFA) Education Foundation and earned his Certified Franchise Executive designation in 1995.

The company also announces the addition of Michael Foster, as its Director of Training and Support. Mr. Foster resigned his position of Vice President of Training with Garland, TX based Wing Stop to accept the position.
