WILMINGTON, N.C. November 5, 2007--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Port City Java® announces its same store Corporate Café sales increase 3.7% in October 2007. Overall, Corporate sales have increased 11.9%. The company is pleased with the increases and gives special acknowledgement to the increase in same unit sales, as this is a key indicator of the Brand’s ability to penetrate its existing markets to the fullest potential. Management feels its consistent execution of the company’s LAM (Local Area Marketing); emphases on its enhanced Breakfast Sandwich Program and Core Basic Operations execution have helped produce the positive results.
Addition to Roasting Division:
Scott McLean has joined Port City Java® as Director of Roasting/Distribution. Mr. McLean was most recently Roast Master at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, where he was responsible for the roasting operations. His expertise in large-scale roasting, procedures and green bean purchasing will enhance the company’s Roasting Operations. Mr. McLean is a member of the Roasters Guild of America. Management is extremely pleased to have him join the company.
